We are seeking a Product Development Scientist to support new product development (NPD) initiatives from concept through commercialization. This role will partner closely with customers and internal teams to develop innovative food and beverage solutions while ensuring technical excellence, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree (2–4-year degree) in Food Science or related field(or equivalent industry experience)
- Experience in food or beverage product development, applications, or manufacturing
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with commercial and technical teams
- Knowledge of regulatory and food safety requirements.

- Exposure to pilot plant or scale-up environments
- Experience working directly with customers
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and scale up food and beverage prototypes from laboratory to full-scale manufacturing
- Translate concepts into commercially viable products
- Engage directly with customers to understand needs and technical requirements
- Present product concepts and provide application support
- Troubleshoot formulation and application challenges
- Conduct analytical testing and experimental trials
- Operate within R&D labs and pilot plant environments
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices
- Support commercial teams with technical documentation and reporting
- Ensure products meet quality, regulatory, and food safety standards
- Stay current with industry trends, ingredients, and technologies
- Contribute to innovative solutions that provide competitive advantage
