About The Position

REACH Health Services of the Institutes for Behavior Resources, Inc. (IBR) is seeking a FULL-TIME REVENUE CYCLE MANAGEMENT (RCM) DIRECTOR to join its team. At REACH, you'll play a vital role in advancing our mission to provide high-quality behavioral health services to individuals and communities affected by substance use disorders. This strategic position oversees revenue cycle operations, billing, accounts receivable, reimbursement, grants management, and revenue optimization to ensure the organization's financial strength and sustainability. The RCM Director is responsible for maximizing revenue, maintaining regulatory and payer compliance, strengthening internal controls, and driving process improvements that support continued access to life-changing care. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive revenue cycle, healthcare billing, financial operations, or reimbursement experience, with demonstrated leadership responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, managed care, behavioral health, healthcare reimbursement, and government-funded programs.
  • Experience independently managing large-scale healthcare revenue operations and accounts receivable.
  • Demonstrated experience improving collection rates, reducing denials, and strengthening billing processes.
  • Experience with EHR, billing, clearinghouse, and financial management systems; familiarity with Methasoft a plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and other technology platforms.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive care and collaboration in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen as required by regulatory agencies.
  • All IBR/REACH employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all aspects of the revenue cycle, including billing, coding, claims management, accounts receivable, collections, reimbursement, and denial management to optimize revenue and cash flow.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize reimbursement, improve collection performance, reduce denials, and strengthen the organization's financial sustainability.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, payer requirements, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and organizational policies while overseeing audits, reviews, and corrective action activities.
  • Oversee the financial administration of grant-funded programs, including budgeting, revenue tracking, reporting, compliance, reconciliation, and audit readiness.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators, dashboards, and reporting tools to evaluate revenue cycle performance, reimbursement trends, grant performance, and financial outcomes.
  • Partner with Finance, Clinical Operations, Compliance, Program Leadership, and Executive Leadership to resolve revenue-impacting issues, support financial planning, and drive operational improvements.
  • Lead and develop revenue cycle and accounts receivable staff through coaching, performance management, training, and professional development.
  • Oversee billing system enhancements, workflow redesign, payer credentialing and enrollment processes, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
