About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Customer Service Support Rep - Patient Customer Service within the Revenue Cycle Management Division to join our team. This position will work with external customers and internal personnel to respond to customer inquiries. The Customer Service Support Representative will provide product training and handle a wide variety of questions while ensuring a world-class customer experience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Customer Service and motivated to work with a customer-centric team in an innovative company. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 year or more customer service experience
  • Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and focused
  • Perform successfully in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency navigating multiple computer screens and applications
  • Alpha-Numeric data entry proficiency
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Energetic, passionate customer service
  • Seek solutions to challenging patient billing issues

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more high volume call center experience
  • 1 year or more medical billing, insurance claims, and explanation of benefits
  • 1 year or more patient billing

Responsibilities

  • Answer 80+ inbound calls per day from patients, doctor's office or private insurance carriers.
  • Initiate payment plans for patients for outstanding balances.
  • Routinely utilize multiple resources to resolve patient inquiries while on the phone
  • Maintain performance goals
  • Ability to become proficient with processes after completing a structured training program
