About The Position

ModMed is hiring a driven, highly motivated, and experienced RCM Client Advisor to join our positive, passionate, and high-performing RCM (BOOST) Team. In this client-facing role, you will be responsible for managing the client relationship, revenue cycle activities, and reporting performance for our medical practice clients to ensure a successful client experience. The RCM Client Advisor collaborates closely with our internal RCM operations team, leadership, and global partners to ensure a healthy Accounts Receivable, improve overall client metrics, and achieve our clients' RCM key performance indicators (KPIs), goals, and service level agreements (SLAs). You will work closely with clients to understand their unique financial, business, reporting, and performance needs to best serve their business goals. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your RCM expertise and serve as a subject matter expert to impact the revenue performance of medical practices.

Requirements

  • Ability to use formulas to analyze data, create tables and pivot tables, formatting, and conditional formatting (required).
  • Ability to manage and integrate information located in multiple software systems.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, and client-facing presentation skills required.
  • Professional demeanor required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Having a medical billing and coding certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a client or practice-facing role managing the RCM performance for medical practices is preferred/required based on the book of business.
  • Proven experience analyzing AR, denial trends, and payer issues, as well as developing and presenting RCM KPIs and month-end reports (preferably to executive leaders).
  • Extensive knowledge of medical billing/coding, front-office, physician practice management, and healthcare business processes.
  • Strong understanding of various insurance carriers, including Medicare, private HMOs, and PPOs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned medical practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships to understand their unique RCM needs, challenges, and organizational goals.
  • Manage, monitor, and audit end-to-end revenue cycle management processes.
  • Establish, implement, and manage Practice Performance Plans that identify, quantify, and resolve issues impacting service levels and/or delivery of contractual obligations.
  • Review and analyze customer accounts, A/R data, denial trends, payer issues, and coding trends.
  • Develop aggressive strategies and actionable plans to increase revenue, recommend solutions, and optimize workflows.
  • Conduct routine client meetings to present business metrics, KPIs, month-end reports, and proactive recommendations to ensure high-quality delivery of contracted services (including presentations to executive leadership for client accounts).
  • Promote collaborative relationships and work closely with the internal RCM operations team, operational leadership, and on/offshore global partners to coordinate processes, resolve complex issues, and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide a high level of value and customer service to client practices and their patients by efficiently identifying and resolving insurance, billing, and complex escalated issues.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on processes and workflows related to the RCM Advisor role.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of current healthcare industry trends, specialty-related changes, and ModMed software enhancements/releases.
  • Participate in sales calls as needed to demonstrate depth of domain expertise to prospective clients.
  • Perform additional projects and job duties as assigned.
