About The Position

The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, under general supervision, helps Physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology lab procedures. Prepares room and equipment, instructs patients, monitors patient's condition, and provides routine and emergency care during procedures. Contributes to the orientation and training of other team members. Helps in daily, monthly, and quarterly quality control initiatives through auditing and reporting.

Requirements

  • Have earned a minimum of an associate degree or 2 years of work experience.
  • Must Hold a Radiography or a imaging credential: ARRT-R American Registry of Radiologic Tech and MRT through TX Medical Board or RCIS (Reg Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) preferred.
  • ACLS within 30 days of hire/transfer.
  • BLS within 30 days of hire/transfer.
  • Must meet one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Tech (ARRT-R) and MRT through TX Medical Board, or Cardio Invasive Spec (RCIS), or Reg Cardiac Electro Spec (RCES), or Cert Electro Spec (CEPS), or Cert Cardiac Device Spec (CCDS).

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience preferred but not required.
  • Graduate of an accredited RCIS related Technical or Associate's degree program preferred.
  • 2 years Cath, EP, or Vascular experience preferred but not required.
  • RCIS (Reg Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) preferred.
