About The Position

This role is a senior individual contributor responsible for leading Sales Practices and Incentive Compensation risk across the Business Line. The position is well‑suited for a strategic, self‑directed risk professional who thrives in ambiguity, takes initiative, and is motivated by complex, high‑impact work that protects customers and enables ethical growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically more than six years of applicable experience
  • Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business
  • Considerable understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
  • Thorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
  • Strong analytical, process facilitation and project management skills
  • Effective presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations
  • Applicable professional certifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end risk oversight for Sales Practices and Incentive Compensation programs—including Campaign, Referral, and Top Producer programs—across Payments products, channels, and sales models
  • Anticipate emerging risk and regulatory expectations; translate them into clear guidance, challenge, and action
  • Independently drive complex, sensitive initiatives—making sound decisions, setting pace, and moving work forward without needing direction
  • Partner closely with business leaders and first‑ and second‑line teams to influence outcomes through credibility, judgment, and relationships
  • Communicate with clarity and candor, delivering clear messages on risk, trade‑offs, and expectations to senior stakeholders
  • Develop and evolve monitoring and reporting capabilities to assess program outcomes, effectiveness, and emerging risks
  • Support investigations, remediation, and governance activities with professionalism, discretion, and follow‑through
