About The Position
BehaviorCare Therapy is seeking Paraprofessionals to work with children on the autism spectrum in their homes. This role involves providing 1-on-1 support to children with autism or developmental delays, helping them build daily living skills, communication, independence, and confidence through play-based ABA therapy designed by a licensed BCBA. You will work with the same children consistently, assisting them in their everyday environments. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where patience, energy, and creativity are valued. Training and support will be provided to meet each child's unique needs.
Requirements
- Experience working with children (SPED Para, 1:1 Aide or Classroom Aide, after-school programs, caregiving, autism).
- Afternoon/evening availability.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- ABA experience a plus!
- Weekend availability a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with kids in their homes to help them learn and grow using play-based ABA techniques.
- Follow simple step-by-step treatment plans made by your supervisor (BCBA).
- Track progress during each session using an easy data system on your phone or tablet.
- Collaborate with your BCBA and fellow techs to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Provide feedback to families about session progress and celebrate achievements.
