About The Position

RBC is hosting an in-person RBC Advisor Networking Event on May 26th, 2026, in Oshawa, ON, to identify top talent for Advisor network opportunities in the Kawartha Lakes and Durham Markets. The event will focus on roles such as Banking Advisor and Financial Advisor, which require client-focused advice expertise and problem-solving skills to assist clients with their banking, credit, and investment needs. As an RBC ambassador, you will add value to client interactions and collaborate with RBC partners to help clients achieve their goals. The event will provide insights into career development, RBC's collaborative approach, and the company's industry leadership, offering a chance to connect with senior leaders, advisors, and the recruitment team.

Requirements

  • For Financial Advisor: Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course)
  • For Financial Advisor: Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation, offered through the Canadian Securities Institute (i.e. Personal Financial Service Advice and Financial Planning I)
  • For Financial Advisor: 2-3 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry, handling credit and investments
  • For Financial Advisor: Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships
  • For Financial Advisor: Digital literacy across a broad range of devices (i.e., smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.)
  • For Banking Advisor: Mutual Funds accreditation, or currently in progress (i.e., Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course)
  • For Banking Advisor: Goal-oriented individual with a demonstrated passion for putting clients first.
  • For Banking Advisor: Problem-solving and people skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and proactively connect with clients
  • For Banking Advisor: Flexibility, eagerness to learn, strong personal ethics, and a drive to succeed
  • For Banking Advisor: Digital literacy across a broad range of devices (i.e., smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.).

Responsibilities
