About The Position

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Coordinate the material inventory, charge make ups and supplies inventory to ensure the requirements of the melt schedule and efficient usage of materials. BASIC FUNCTION: Supervise and coordinate the activities and personnel associated with the charge make up and processing of air melt and remelted products.

Requirements

• 1-5 years experience
• BS in an Engineering discipline
• Strong Interpersonal skills
• Organizational skills
• Computer literate
• Problem-Solving ability

Nice To Haves

• Materials/Science/Metallurgy degree desirable

Responsibilities

• Make up least cost charges for heats utilizing computer modeling.
• Direct efforts of the Scrap Yard employees.
• Responsible for receipt of raw materials both quality and quantity.
• Order raw materials necessary to meet production requirements.
• Manage Raw Material Inventory and balance inventory with Melt Shop Accountant.
• Monitor performance of operating supplies and inventory.
• Assist in the development, establishment, and monitoring of Safety Rules and Regulations.
