About The Position

Beyond Yoga, a premium active lifestyle brand headquartered in Los Angeles and founded in 2005, is seeking a Raw Materials Associate. As a female-founded company, Beyond Yoga is committed to body positivity and creates comfortable, easy-care clothing from luxuriously soft fabrics. The brand has a significant market presence with numerous wholesale accounts and expanding retail locations. In 2021, Beyond Yoga became part of Levi Strauss & Co., benefiting from its global capabilities. This role is crucial for ensuring the development, approval, and timely delivery of all materials according to brand standards. We are looking for an organized individual with foundational experience in textiles or product development, eager to enhance their technical expertise in fabrics and trims.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in textiles, raw materials, product development, or apparel production.
  • Exposure to fabric or trim development.
  • Experience with textile construction, trims, and garment components.
  • Experience with Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and PLM systems.
  • Ability to work both with internal and external partners.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Curious and motivated to build technical expertise across materials.
  • Comfortable managing multiple parallel workflows.
  • Collaborative and team-focused.
  • Connect development details to broader product timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of fabrics and trims from concept through bulk approval.
  • Partner with suppliers to request developments, pricing, and lead times.
  • Track submissions across fabrics and trims, including lab dips, strike-offs, and bulk submissions.
  • Help ensure materials meet timeline, quality, and cost expectations.
  • Partner with the Color team to support seasonal color development across fabrics and trims.
  • Manage lab dips and color submissions, ensuring prompt review and approvals.
  • Maintain accurate records of color standards, approvals, and comments in PLM.
  • Flag risks related to color approvals or timing.
  • Communicate with mills and trim vendors to track development progress and submissions.
  • Follow up on outstanding items to maintain seasonal timelines.
  • Support troubleshooting of development or quality issues with teams.
  • Maintain organized material information on tracking documents (lead times, MOQs, capabilities).
  • Help order and track seasonal sample yardage.
  • Monitor delivery timelines and escalate potential delays.
  • Maintain accurate material data in PLM systems, including fabric and trim specifications, color approvals, supplier and pricing information.
  • Help improve data integrity and organization across systems and internal tools.
  • Support organization and maintenance of physical and digital fabric, trim, and color libraries.
  • Ensure submissions (lab dips, bulk, strike-offs) are tracked and accessible.
  • Help archive and seasonal organization of materials.
