About The Position

At Utz Quality Foods, we have expanded our Kings Mountain, NC manufacturing facility and looking for a dedicated Raw Material Utility to join our team. This hands-on role will involve material handling, operating palletizing equipment, and supporting our packaging operations to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.

Requirements

Understanding of food safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Basic computer and data entry skills for tracking and monitoring equipment performance.
Forklift experience and the ability to obtain a certification on day one.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while staying organized and detail-oriented.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, production environment.
Demonstrated ability to operate production and data entry equipment.
Must follow all personal and food safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Must be able to stand most of the time.
Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 70lb’s.
Must be willing and able to work in / around consistently hot equipment and environments.
Must have the ability to multi-task.
Must be team oriented.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Must possess basic math skills.
Proficiency with basic hand tools.
Knowledge of safe operating practices involved in the use of lock-out/tag-out programs and food safety.
Experience with general mechanic tools (Allen wrenches, screw drivers, etc.).
Strong commitment to company values.

Spanish-speaking preferred but not required, to support diverse team communication.

Responsibilities

Adhere to safety standards to maintain a zero-accident culture on the production floor.
Operate and adjust robotic palletizers and production equipment, ensuring proper programming for new products and specifications.
Accurately track and enter pallet data into our data collection systems and complete inventory control logs.
Review production schedules, move pallets from the production area to the warehouse, and ensure materials are staged for the next shift.
Ensure labeling and barcoding are correct and address any packaging quality issues with attention to detail.
Ensure that equipment and work areas are cleaned and well-maintained.
