About The Position

Responsible for the operational performance of their assigned area to continually meet production, preventative maintenance, and regulatory compliance targets while on shift.

Requirements

Advanced knowledge of operational and industrial principles
3 years of experience in production, maintenance, engineering and/or process improvement roles including leading teams of people
Mechanical aptitude
Minimum of 3 years' operating heavy equipment (Cranes, Excavators, Skidsteer, Dozers, Manlifts, etc.)
Working knowledge in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
Must be able to walk long distances and stand and work for more than 2 hours in though environmental conditions (high temperature, high humidity, noise & dust) and withstand heights of up to 500 feet.
Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, verbally and in writing. Skills will be used to produce quality reports and thorough instructions and directions.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC-card

Responsibilities

Know, understand, and follow all Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements.
Operate and certify in Raw Material Handling Equipment
Perform Lock out/ Tag out and issues safety permits
Create and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
Assist Shift Lead and Safety department regarding safety and emergency measures and realization of safety and emergency plans.
Operate and maintain a clean work area
Retrieve samples as needed
Participate in mandatory on-site and off-site training courses that include safety, regulatory requirements, handling of hazardous and volatile materials, and equipment repair and maintenance
Troubleshooting equipment
Perform incidental/preventative maintenance in operating areas
Maintain compliance in mandatory training as per company specs
Perform other duties assigned as needed
