About The Position

Owens Corning, global in scope - human in scale. We’re an international company, with solid roots in North Platte and we’ve got opportunities for a few dynamic people to join our local team. This position is located at 1120 Industrial Ave, North Platte, NE. The hourly pay rate range for this position is $22.55 plus benefits. Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is specific to North Platte and may not be applicable to other locations.

Requirements

Must have knowledge of rail types and sizes, and the ability to understand production schedules.
Must be able to operate radial arm saw.
Must read and write English & a tape measure.
Must have good attendance and safety records.
Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities and communication.
Stand for 10 - 12 hours straight
Climb and descend stairs/ladder as needed for the role
Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 60-pounds)
Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable

Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently and be highly alert at all times

Responsibilities

Load rails and paper core on carts for layup
Stage rails in a safe and easily accessible manner, while following the production schedule.
Cut rails to proper size as needed
Conduct pre-operational inspection.
Clean and maintain the area & forklift.
