About The Position

Drug Plastics is hiring a Raw Material Handler to transfer plastic material and mixtures accurately to machines for processing. The role includes setting up, maintaining, and cleaning machines; keeping equipment, hoses, production floors, and material areas clean; making timely material and color changes; and ensuring a steady supply and proper rotation of raw materials and components. The employee must read and follow the applicable Drug Plastics Operating Procedures. This is a third-shift position scheduled Sunday night through Thursday night, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with rotating mandatory overtime. The company describes its workplace as clean, safe, and temperature-controlled and offers competitive hourly pay with a shift differential.

Requirements

• Good mathematical skills, including the ability to perform basic addition and subtraction.
• Understand and effectively use Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Ability to accurately and efficiently sort and classify material.
• Ability to make well-thought-out decisions and ensure appropriate courses of action are taken.
• Must provide basic mechanic hand tools needed to perform assigned job duties effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper and accurate transfer of plastic material and mixtures to each machine for processing.
• Set up, maintain, and clean machines.
• Keep machines, hoses, the production floor, and material areas clean.
• Make material and color changes in a timely manner.
• Maintain a proper flow of raw materials for the molding process.
• Maintain proper rotation of raw materials and components.
• Read, understand, and follow Drug Plastics Operating Procedures relating to material handling.
