About The Position

The Raw Material Handler is responsible for receiving, organizing, cutting, and issuing raw materials to support production operations. This position ensures accurate inventory control, prepares raw stock to required specifications, and maintains a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and organize incoming raw materials.
  • Cut raw stock (metal, plastic, wood, or other materials) according to production work orders and specifications.
  • Verify dimensions and quality of cut materials before releasing them to production.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by tracking material usage, receipts, and remaining stock.
  • Perform routine inventory counts and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Label, store, and stage materials for production in an organized manner.
  • Operate saws, forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment safely (as authorized and trained).
  • Read work orders, material lists, and production schedules to prioritize daily tasks.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized while following all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or equipment issues to supervision.
  • Assist with unloading, loading, and general warehouse duties as needed.
