About The Position

This position will be responsible for the strategic sourcing & procurement of all raw materials across Formulated Solutions (FS). The role involves developing and maintaining high-quality relationships with existing and new suppliers, partnering across the business to develop and execute strategic initiatives that ensure reliable supply, enhance customer fulfillment, and drive innovation, cost savings, and productivity improvements. A key aspect of the role is documenting supplier qualification and performance through executed non-disclosure (NDA), supply, and quality agreements.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of procurement experience or equivalent.
  • Must have a strong sense of urgency and is improvement and quality driven.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent proactive problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of procurement strategies, tactics, and negotiation skills.

  • Procurement certifications CPM, CPP, CPPM, CPSM, ASCM
  • eSourcing tools a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes multi-year strategies for the categories that he/she leads, which creates value to Formulated Solutions and our customers, and assures reliable material supply, cost savings, and competitiveness.
  • Partners on new project/business development to leverage supplier innovation.
  • Negotiates price, terms, and service levels to meet business goals and objectives.
  • Negotiates NDA’s and Supply Agreements to include key (FS) terms.
  • Provides spend forecast, material cost variation, and purchase price variations.
  • Communicates price changes and discrepancies and determines financial impact.
  • Optimizes cash by extending supplier payment terms, reducing lead times, negotiating smart MOQ’s, and partnering to address excess inventory.
  • Negotiate and track vendor credits, claims, and rebates.
  • Establish working relationships with suppliers that support company goals and objectives while monitoring the levels of service, quality, and competitive pricing.
  • Secures business with key vendors through supply agreements and commercial quality documentation (including CDA and code of conduct).
  • Source new materials/suppliers within the quality guidelines.
  • Develops key supplier leader relationships and leads business review meetings.
  • Develops and executes dual source strategies and material alternatives through the FS Management of Change process (MOC).
  • Provides oversight and adherence to purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with quality assurance or quality control personnel, users, and others to determine the source of trouble and take corrective action.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance – CAPA actions are completed on time, with zero critical matter findings on Purchasing controls.
  • Ensure that 100% Procurement, EHS, Quality, and Compliance training is completed.
  • Support Innovation and business development for new product introductions through supplier selection, qualification, and risk assessment.
  • Support & proactively leverage Customer Procurement Partnering Initiatives & Expertise.
