About The Position

The Structured Finance and Alternative Investment Funds team at S&P Global Ratings evaluates the credit risk of securitized products and fund structures. This involves analyzing underlying asset performance, structural protections, cash-flow mechanics, and stress scenarios. The team delivers credit opinions that help issuers and investors compare complex instruments, providing market-relevant perspectives on performance trends and issuance conditions across a growing and evolving sector.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in structured finance ratings or credit analysis within a bank, rating agency, or financial services firm.
  • Demonstrated data analysis and financial statement analysis skills, with experience supporting financial modeling in a structured finance or credit context.
  • Demonstrated understanding of credit and risk concepts applicable to structured finance or securitized products.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet tools and demonstrated experience using generative AI or large language model tools to support analytical research and drafting.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present research and analysis clearly in a structured and evidence-based format.
  • High standards for analytical accuracy, traceability, and documentation, with demonstrated adherence to confidentiality and governance requirements.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. A master's degree or professional certification (such as CFA) is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Develop credit judgment through coaching and standard methodologies, support junior colleagues with guidance on analytical routines and quality standards, and contribute to workflow improvement initiatives.
  • Own delivery for assigned credits, maintaining ongoing surveillance and synthesizing developments into committee-ready insights; apply AI and automation tools to research, drafting, and data workflows with structured validation.
  • Collect, reconcile, and validate data; build and maintain analytical packs using standard templates; and document assumptions clearly to maintain analytical transparency and reduce operational risk.
  • Prepare well-evidenced committee materials and translate data, analysis, and research into clear narratives for rating committees and senior stakeholders.
  • Apply confidentiality, documentation, and governance requirements consistently, ensuring human accountability for all final analytical outputs and committee content.
  • Support the testing of automation and agentic AI tools through process improvement initiatives, contributing to their responsible adoption and rollout.
