About The Position

Proficient Auto Logistics (PAL) is a leading specialized freight company focused on providing auto transportation and logistics services. Formed via IPO in May 2024, PAL combined five industry-leading operating companies, and has since acquired 2 additional companies for a total of seven. As a combined entity, we operate one of the largest auto transportation fleets in North America with over 1200 trucks, 50 terminal locations and 800 employees, a majority of whom are drivers. We offer a broad range of auto transportation and logistics services, primarily focused on transporting finished vehicles from automotive production facilities, marine ports of entry, or regional rail yards to auto dealerships around the country. We have developed a differentiated business model due to our scale, breadth of geographic coverage, and embedded customer relationships with leading auto original equipment manufacturing companies (OEMs). This position is for a Rate Manager responsible for the administration, maintenance, and strategic management of all rate tables within the company’s IT systems. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and security of the rate data used for financial operations including client billing, subhauler payments, and payroll. This manager works with the IT team, finance, and operations to ensure rates are aligned with business strategy and function correctly within enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have both EDI and Magnus experience and the ability to quickly adapt to the differences in PAL Operating Company configurations. They will play a critical role in ensuring the application meets organizational needs and delivers a seamless user experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in a data management, business analysis, or system administration role.
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP systems, billing software, or financial applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) EDI feeds.
  • High sense of urgency and commitment to success.

Responsibilities

  • Administer all rate tables across PAL Operating Companies, ensuring errors are resolved and OEM payment vouchers are produced.
  • Ensure that all data is accurate, up-to-date, and follows all internal controls and compliance requirements.
  • Work with finance and operations to understand business requirements and translate them into functional rate table updates.
  • Develop and provide reports to ensure data accuracy.
  • Manage all change requests for rate tables, ensuring updates are properly tested and communicated to relevant parties.
  • Define and manage user permissions to ensure that only authorized personnel can make changes to sensitive rate data.
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies or functional issues related to rate tables.
