About The Position

This role is for a Rare Disease Business Manager focusing on Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) in Eastern Pennsylvania. The position is patient-focused and innovation-driven, reporting to the Regional Business Lead, HAE. The territory covers areas including Harrisburg, Hershey, Allentown, Reading, Lancaster, Danville, parts of Philadelphia, and Binghamton, NY. The manager will be responsible for driving franchise sales growth by executing sales strategies, collaborating with the Regional Business Lead and customer-facing teams to support patients throughout their HAE journey, and driving demand generation by educating healthcare professionals (HCPs) on Takeda's HAE portfolio. This role requires daytime, evening, and weekend activities, and the ability to navigate the complexities of the HAE marketplace, including distribution and site of care. The individual will work closely with third-party specialty pharmacies to ensure patient access to therapy and must compliantly adhere to all policies and guidelines, ensuring high customer satisfaction and embodying Takeda's culture and values.

Requirements

  • Clinical sales background with a Bachelor of Science degree (minimum) required.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated successful relevant healthcare sales experience managing and being accountable for own business.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and knowledge of sales processes.
  • Demonstrated organizational and territory planning skills are required.
  • Effective at acquiring, analyzing and interpreting customer data to create effective sales strategies.
  • Demonstrated change agility skills and experiences required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older with valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Able to travel 50% of the time, including ability to travel overnight and occasionally on weekends.
  • Requirement to support conventions and meetings supporting Immunology.
  • Must have authorization and ability to drive a company-leased vehicle or rental.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of and/or experience in complex selling model is highly desirable.
  • Biotech experience desirable.
  • Results driven- a track record of results and compliance throughout career.
  • Demonstrated results in influencing HCPs to prescribe.
  • Launch experience a plus.
