The RAPP Coordinator implements the Relationship Abuse Prevention Program (RAPP) at assigned middle and high school sites and within a designated RAPP Hub. RAPP is a community-based program serving middle and high school students throughout New York City to reduce experiences of violence and prevent further harm over a child’s lifetime. The Coordinator provides direct program delivery, facilitation, and youth-centered services grounded in diversity, equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed care. The position develops a new hub-based model and facilitates programming for students at designated hubs and assigned school sites. It delivers curriculum on relationship abuse prevention, community healing, restorative and transformative justice, and youth leadership; builds partnerships with schools and community organizations; and provides individual and group therapeutic or supportive services to youth. The Coordinator conducts outreach and builds referral pathways to connect students with comprehensive support services. The role also facilitates restorative circles and mediation, leads a summer intensive for 30 youth, and mentors youth leaders as they plan and carry out Community Action Projects. The Coordinator enters required data, supports equity-driven outreach and service delivery, and participates in quality improvement and evaluation efforts.
