About The Position

ELS is hiring a part-time Campground Ranger at Thousand Trails Orlando in Clermont, Florida. The role involves monitoring and patrolling campground grounds, answering guest questions, enforcing resort rules, and helping ensure the safety of guests and their belongings. The Ranger should be able to handle stressful situations calmly and respond appropriately in accordance with local, state, and federal law.

The position also includes monitoring property security and access, performing routine patrols and inspections, handling reservations and guest check-ins and check-outs, and selling day passes and store items. The Ranger prioritizes guest safety and satisfaction, provides on-call emergency service as required, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills, and the ability to use computer applications.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to assess situations, use quick and reasonable judgment, and resolve problems diplomatically.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, and a friendly demeanor.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in security and/or law enforcement, and/or working in an RV environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the property for issues or potential problems and ensure it is properly secured.
• Ensure guests comply with resort rules, respond to areas of concern, and contact law enforcement if necessary.
• Monitor incoming guests at the campground gate and validate whether access is acceptable.
• Perform routine patrols and inspect golf carts and rental equipment.
• Take camping reservations, check guests in and out, and sell day passes and items at the store.
• Prioritize guest safety and happiness.
• Perform on-call emergency service as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
