About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Range Systems Supervisor - Radar for the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC). This role provides leadership and direction for assigned personnel in the operation, maintenance, calibration, repair, and upgrade of Eastern Range Radar Systems. The supervisor will also provide customer service and support for data products, maintenance activities, system upgrades, and operational support. Key responsibilities include overseeing and maintaining Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Qualification training/documentation, ensuring a trained and qualified staff, and managing staff and system scheduling. The role involves assisting employees with problem resolution, conducting performance evaluations, maintaining documentation, and participating in hiring and disciplinary actions. Additionally, the supervisor will monitor radar calibrations and system performance, assist engineering with modifications and upgrades, and support investigations of operational anomalies. The position actively contributes to strategic objectives, interfaces with customers to develop radar requirements, leads continuous process improvement efforts, and ensures department productivity and quality goals are met. The supervisor is also responsible for ensuring adequate operational spares, supplies, and materials, and for reviewing and generating technical documentation. Participation in technical contract proposals, interchange meetings, and providing cost estimates are also expected. The role requires timely and accurate reporting of instrumentation status and radar launch anomalies, conducting meetings and presentations, and coordinating the operational use and maintenance of assigned facilities. The supervisor will vigorously pursue initiatives to improve quality, efficiencies, and timeliness, and will develop and integrate enterprise concepts to capitalize on cross-range best practices.

Bachelor's degree in a business or technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
Five or more years of electronics and instrumentation systems/operations experience (Radar experience, preferred)
Three or more years of leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
Ability to travel locally and Outside the Continental US on occasion
Ability to work at remote locations
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship
Valid U.S. Driver’s License
Valid US Passport or ability to obtain one

Responsibilities

Provides leadership and direction of assigned personnel for the operation, maintenance, calibration, repair and upgrade of Eastern Range Radar Systems
Provides customer service and support to internal/external customers for data products, maintenance activities, system upgrades and operational support
Oversees and maintains Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Qualification training/documentation of assigned personnel
Ensures a trained and qualified staff is available to perform all required operations
Responsible for staff and system scheduling to include: work assignments, employee vacations, overtime assignments, shift rotations, system relocations, corrosion control, property control, safety actions, facility actions, etc.
Assists employees with problem resolutions; authors and conducts performance evaluations; maintains system and personnel performance documentation; conducts hiring interviews and disciplinary actions; relays interpretation of and enforces company policies
Monitors Radar calibrations for systems trends and provides leadership in identifying corrective actions to calibration data
Monitors Radar system performance during real-time launch activities and provides leadership in identifying deviations from expected or required performance
Assists engineering personnel identify, develop, design and implement modification and upgrades to Radar systems
Assists Launch Performance Analysis personnel in investigation and resolution of operational anomalies
Actively contributes in the development of short and long range strategic objectives
Actively interfaces with customers to develop Radar requirements
Leads the continuous process improvement efforts for Radar systems
Ensures department productivity and quality goals are met
Ensures adequate operational spares, supplies, materials and consumables are available to perform and achieve O&M tasks, objectives and requirements
Reviews, generates and/or coordinates technical documentation for operational requirements, minor modifications, and sustainment/modernization efforts
Participates in technical contract proposals and technical interchange meetings
Provides cost estimates on launch operations and/or proposals
Ensures timely and accurate reporting of instrumentation status changes and reporting of Radar Launch anomalies
Conducts meetings, briefings and/or presentations to coordinate department activities or disseminate information
Attends pre and post mission meetings, briefings and working groups associated with the Radar Super-System
Coordinates the operational use and maintenance of assigned facilities
Vigorously pursues initiatives to improve the quality, efficiencies, and timeliness of enterprise solutions, products or services
Innovates process improvement oriented towards ensuring contract compliance and fulfillment while devising and implementing process improvement methods derived from internal and external integrated process team actions
Develops and integrates enterprise concepts and recommendations to capitalize on Cross Range best practices, efficiencies and standardization
