About The Position

This role requires a Range Safety Officer with a High School Diploma or GED and significant applicable experience. The position involves supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware, with specific requirements for mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup. The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a DoD security clearance, with experience in applying Operational Procedures, Policies, and SOPs. Strong leadership and people skills are essential, along with a working knowledge of range safety, military weapons/missile systems, and lasers. Compliance with health mandates and successful completion of drug and alcohol testing may be required as a condition of employment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Seven (7) years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; OR three (3) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 4 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area.
Mechanical specialization: At least 6 years of the 7 years of experience must include successful completion of vocational/military/technical school training in practical or industrial arts and a minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
Must have experience in applying Operational Procedures, Policies, and SOP's.
Good leadership & people skills.
Working knowledge of range safety.
Ability to research, analyze, and apply safe operating procedures.
Knowledge and experience in military weapons/missile systems/and lasers.
