About The Position

The Range Safety Officer is responsible for assisting customers at the range and ensuring a safe environment. This role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining knowledge of products and firearms safety, and enforcing safety policies to ensure the well-being of all patrons.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to multi-task and work under limited supervision
• Ability to work under stressful conditions
• Prior Range Safety Officer experience
• Good verbal and written communication
• The ability to work closely with customers and co-workers
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be willing to maintain either no facial hair or the minimal amount which would still allow proper use of respirator
• Must be able to use a respirator, with or without reasonable accommodations
• Applicants must provide information for export control screening, which will be reviewed for compliance.

Nice To Haves

• Having the knowledge and patience to teach one-on-one basic firearms instruction to customers
• NRA Range Safety Officer certification is preferred
• Military and/or law enforcement experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide the very best in customer service
• Be knowledgeable of products and firearms safety
• Keep the range clean and safe at all times
• Enforce range safety policies to ensure safety of patrons
• Identify patrons creating hazardous shooting conditions and tactfully correct safety violators
• Perform all other duties, as assigned
