About The Position

ATI, Inc. is seeking a full-time Range Cleaner in the Brunswick, GA area. The Range Cleaner will be responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of several weapons firing ranges, hazardous waste collection and disposal, and maintaining accurate service records. Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen with clearance eligibility.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a FIT Test or have a valid and current Respirator FIT Test certification card specifically for the PAPR respirator unit.
  • Must be able to pass a physical or have written medical clearance to wear approved respiratory protection per Industrial Hygiene (IH) Survey, which includes a Lead Exposure physical and a Respirator Medical Evaluation Questionnaire.
  • Must have the ability to perform duties in an outdoor environment where moderate risk or discomfort requires the wearing of protective clothing and gear.
  • Must have the ability to perform tasks consisting of, but not limited to, heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs.), and operating required equipment, working with hazardous materials, and administrative record keeping and documentation.
  • Face must always be clean shaven.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning all front sides of the firing ranges daily, including floors, bullet impact plates, back stop rail, recessed barricade holes, weapons cleaning area, and range tower windows.
  • Shaking down and emptying firing range collector bins into bullet fragment hoppers daily, removing live rounds for disposal.
  • Refilling and supplying hand towels, tacky mats, hand soap, targets, backers, and foam ears.
  • Emptying all trash bins.
  • Brass collecting.
  • Collecting Hazardous Waste bins and replacing them.
  • Cleaning the back sides of the firing ranges monthly, including shake down and emptying hopper area of debris, HEPA vacuuming floors and walls up to 10 feet, cleaning behind the bullet trap, and cleaning trunk lines.
  • Operating heavy machinery including forklifts, power scrubbers, hydro-excavator vacuum system, cyclonic vacuum system with attachment, and large generators.
  • Using Air-Purifying Respirators (PAPRs), protective outerwear, gloves, eye protection, TYVEK protective suits, and safety footwear.
  • Using HEPA vacuums (pull behind and/or backpack), self-propelled sweeper vacuums, and push behind scrubbers.
  • Maintaining accurate service records and reporting them to the client.
