About The Position

This role is responsible for the unloading and loading of luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft, in the outbound bag room and the baggage claim area, as well as the safe and efficient cleaning of aircraft cabins. The position involves driving and operating small specialized commercial vehicles. It requires heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, and frequent kneeling. This role requires you to maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Possess and maintain a valid US driver's license.
Must have a high school diploma, GED, or six months prior ramp agent work experience.
Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively.
Pass FBI background check.
Obtain US Customs Seal.

Responsibilities

Unload and load luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft.
Transport cargo and baggage between aircraft, airport terminals, and air cargo facilities.
Clean aircraft cabins safely and efficiently.
Drive and operate small specialized commercial vehicles.
Maintain a safe and secure work environment.
Comfortably and continuously lift/move 70 lbs. of cargo and baggage.
Perform frequent bending, stretching, push/pulling, stacking, and kneeling in small, confined locations.
Operate motorized equipment and small specialized commercial vehicles.
Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags.
Conduct physical search of empty interiors and accessible exterior of the aircraft to detect prohibited articles and unlawful interferences that may jeopardize the security of the aircraft.
Perform other duties as assigned.
