About The Position

A&K Railroad Materials is seeking a working Rail Yard Operations Foreman to lead yard operations while working alongside the team to keep materials moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role involves operating heavy equipment, supporting equipment maintenance, performing fabrication and welding, organizing inventory, and maintaining a safe, productive rail yard. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting challenges, and taking pride in completing tasks.

Requirements

• Experience operating heavy equipment (forklifts, loaders, backhoes, or skid steers)
• Mechanical aptitude with equipment troubleshooting and basic repairs
• Experience in rail, construction, manufacturing, heavy industrial, or similar environments
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliability
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
