About The Position
Railserve is hiring dependable, safety-focused Rail Switching Technicians in Belle, WV to support daily rail operations at industrial facilities. This is a full-time, outdoor, hands-on role critical to keeping railcars moving safely and efficiently. In this role, you’ll work as part of a team to move, organize, and secure railcars, supporting customer operations and ensuring every move is performed with precision and care. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle equipment (up to ~50 lbs)
- Climb on and off railcars, ladders, and platforms
- Ability to wear required PPE without restriction
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities
- Assist with moving and securing railcars
- Operate switches, gates, and hand brakes
- Connect and disconnect railcars
- Guide locomotives using radio or hand signals
- Monitor track conditions and identify hazards
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Perform additional duties to support safe rail operations
