Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Willingness to work flexible, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in rail operations, bulk material handling, or industrial loading preferred.

Responsibilities

General yard activities such as taking daily rail car count, which track they are on, and preparing them for loading.
Operate and monitor loading equipment to fill rail cars with cement according to company specifications.
Inspect rail cars prior to loading for cleanliness, safety compliance, and readiness.
Secure rail cars after loading, including sealing, labeling, and completing all required paperwork.
Follow strict safety protocols and always wear appropriate PPE.
Conduct routine maintenance checks and report equipment issues.
Maintain accurate records of materials loaded and shipment details.
Perform housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and hazard-free.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable ISO management system standards.
Maintain document control by reviewing, updating, and using only approved controlled documents.
Participate in internal/external audits and support corrective and preventive actions.
Support emergency preparedness, response, and business continuity activities as assigned.
Assist with operational planning, departmental objectives, KPIs, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
