Rail Lead Van Driver
About The Position

We cater logistics strategies and processes to our customers' needs by utilizing the latest information systems and advanced technologies. Summary: Drive the shuttle bus or van and provide direction and leadership to Rail drivers. Monitor the drivers to ensure they follow company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience and driving experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to obtain and execute direct orders in a timely manner
- Ability to lead a group of individuals
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience preferred

Responsibilities
- Meet with Rail Management to get the plan for the day.
- Ensure all of the drivers understand the plan.
- Shuttle Team Members to the correct vehicles according to the loading plan.
- Ensure drivers move vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Lead the Team Members by providing direction and any needed assistance.
- Communicate company guidelines and standards to Team Members and ensure they are followed.
- Correct any policy violations or poor performance immediately.
- Always report any incidents to the Rail Supervisor and / or Assistant Manager as soon as possible.
- Stay in communication with other Rail team members or departments as needed, to help ensure everyone is working together to achieve the goals for the day
- Load vehicles onto railcars and perform other Rail Loader duties as needed.
- Assist other departments as directed by Management.
