About The Position

Reporting to and working closely with the Supervisor Construction & Maintenance, this Kwinana-based position involves working effectively and efficiently as a member of a small team to support the delivery of rail infrastructure maintenance at nominated locations. The role includes performing rail infrastructure maintenance such as rerailing, re-sleepering, and track/turnout upgrades, as well as minor maintenance activities and inspections. You will also assist the Supervisor with the upkeep of equipment and vehicles, material distribution, and administrative duties to ensure quality outcomes and accurate record-keeping.

Requirements

• Cert II in Rail Infrastructure (Mandatory)
• Unrestricted 'C' Class Driver Licence (Mandatory)
• Strong personal commitment to safety
• Sound level of both written and verbal communication skills
• Sound knowledge of rail infrastructure maintenance, inspection standards, systems, and processes

Nice To Haves

• Forklift License (Preferred)
• 'HR' or “MR” Class Driver Licence
• Welding, and/or other trade tickets

Responsibilities

• Performance of rail infrastructure maintenance, including rerailing, re-sleepering and track/turnout upgrades, in accordance with established procedures and track standards
• Performance of minor maintenance activities and rail infrastructure inspections, as required, in accordance with established procedures and track standards
• Assisting the Supervisor Construction & Maintenance with the upkeep of rail infrastructure equipment and vehicles
• Assisting the Supervisor Construction & Maintenance with loading, unloading and distributing materials at nominated locations
• Undertaking administrative and recording duties to ensure quality outcomes and that correct information is recorded and distributed to the applicable stakeholder
