About The Position

As a Rail Control Operator, you will support the Clinton site’s rail and warehousing operations by managing materials, rail assets, and inventory activities that are critical to site operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe movement and handling of materials, maintaining railcar and inventory accuracy, supporting compliance activities, and serving as a key resource for rail-related operations and material management processes across the site.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, or industrial environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills with effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience moving railcars or supporting rail operations
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, or GMP-regulated environment
  • Experience operating fork trucks, trackmobiles, or other industrial material handling equipment
  • Experience using SAP or other inventory/material management systems
  • Previous experience moving box/tank trailers and/or possession of a CDL license

Responsibilities

  • Manage rail fleet activities including railcar movements, maintenance coordination, tracking, and demurrage management while ensuring safe rail operations across the site
  • Perform material handling activities including receiving, sampling, labeling, loading/unloading, and movement of materials using equipment such as trackmobiles, fork trucks, semi-trucks, and railcars
  • Maintain required documentation and electronic records related to CSX, Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), inventory management, and warehouse operations
  • Support inventory accuracy through cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and ensuring material availability to meet production requirements
  • Identify, report, and assist in resolving operational, equipment, inventory, and safety issues while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and safe work practices
