About The Position

This role will employ care and organizational skill to continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living. The incumbent in this position supports the activities and responsibilities of the Door Build Department.

Requirements

• Know how to handle material properly (Ergonomics)
• Must be proficient in reading a tape measure.
• Ability to stay-on-task, follow safety guidelines and work process procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a self-starter who works well and can follow a list of daily work assignments.
• Possesses a willingness to learn new ways to enhance productivity.
• Good interpersonal skills, ability to work well with other employees.
• High School Diploma, GED, or 1yr of equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Inserts foam into grooves of rails & select stiles at different times
• Trims edges of profiles on rails with utility knife
• Communicates potential issues to the production lead person or the Supervisor.
• Utilizes sandpaper on profile to smoothen the top of the rail.
• Stocks parts on the build table to keep builders busy with work
• Reads paperwork, Kanban tickets and/or color-coded labels (depending on department)
• Utilizes product knowledge of parts you are working with (wood species, etc.) to ensure they’re the correct size
