Requirements
- Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- A minimum of five (5) years in a related field.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively (including some overnights) supporting our buildings in the South Bend/Elkhart area.
Responsibilities
- Audits facility records for Minimum Data Set (MDS) accuracy, timeliness, and completion.
- Has the ability to assess resident, if needed.
- Educates and trains new and current MDS Coordinators.
- Professionally communicates findings from each facility visit, audit, or review with the Executive Director and other leaders as directed by the VP of Clinical Reimbursement.
- Assists with MDS Coordinator responsibilities as needed and directed by VP of Clinical Reimbursement.
- Attends MDS workshops to maintain current standards of practice and knowledge of regulatory changes.
