Job Summary: Work Shift: Mon - Thurs with weekly rotating shifts of 5:00 am - 3:00 pm or 9:00 am - 7:00 pm and includes occasional weekend coverage. This is an on-site position. The Triage Coordinator supports and assists radiology imaging within a busy work environment. This position has multiple service responsibilities including maintaining patient confidentiality at all times, patient registration, and answer/screening incoming telephone calls using proper telephone etiquette, locate, send and retrieve films for comparison and/or readings. The Triage Coordinator is an essential link in communication between radiology imaging and clinical imaging with internal and outside medical groups/facilities.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• One to two years previous experience in a medical setting required.
• Computer keyboarding experience required.
• Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid. This is a condition of employment. Employee must immediately notify his/her manager or the Health System’s Compliance Officer if he/she is threatened with exclusion or becomes excluded from any federally funded program

Nice To Haves

• Post-high school courses in medical area such as health unit coordinator or medical office procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and body structure preferred.
• Previous data entry experience preferred.
