About The Position

The working environment is a normal clinical setting with exposure to sharps, radiation, and biological and chemical agents. May be exposed to traumatic situations, including psychiatric, dismembered, and deceased patients. It is expected that facility safety practices and protocols are followed at all times.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting required.
  • Current Knowledge of radiologic procedures and techniques required.
  • ARRT certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures at a technical level
  • Perform all forms of ultrasound procedures within the facility.
  • Operate and maintain radiology equipment.
  • Perform various clerical duties as needed.
  • Assist in organizing, directing, and coordinating the functions/activities of the Radiology department.
  • Review department policies and procedures at least annually.
  • Ensure that radiologic/ultrasound procedures are performed according to prioritized needs.
  • Maintain proper records regarding all radiologic/ultrasound procedures.
  • Assist in training other department personnel.
  • Responsible for calculating and recording test results, standards, and controls.
  • Actively participate in meetings and committees as required and requested.
  • Assist in maintaining the department operating budget and ensure that the department operates within that budget.
  • Requisition, control, and maintain an adequate level of required radiology supplies and equipment.
  • Assist in coordinating with the payroll department to assure an accurate and effective payroll process of the department staff.
  • Assist in implementations of recommendations from the facility's committees.
  • Report all required incidents and accidents on proper forms.
  • Ensure that patient rights are well established and followed by all department personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.
