About The Position

Provides quality patient care when performing diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention while adhering to radiation safety principles. Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute is one of Florida’s largest orthopedic and sports medicine providers. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures for patients in an outpatient clinical setting.
  • Support a multidisciplinary care team including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physical therapists by delivering high-quality images for timely diagnosis and treatment.
  • Exercise sound judgment in selecting proper technical factors and patient positioning techniques specific to sports medicine and primary care needs.
  • Provide patient instructions and education to ensure understanding and cooperation during exams.
  • Ensure proper patient identification and accurately document relevant clinical history.
  • Assess image quality and confirm all required anatomy and annotations are captured.
  • Apply principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure risks for patients, self, and others.
  • Maintain equipment and clinical spaces in a clean, organized, and functional manner.
  • Assist with patient flow, including transport and scheduling support as needed.
  • Collaborate with front-office and clinical staff to maintain an efficient, high-quality patient experience.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, including radiation control standards and HIPAA.
  • Support the training of new technologists or students when applicable.
  • Participate in quality control and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for patients of all ages and activity levels.
