Radiology Technologist
About The Position
WakeMed is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiology Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images under the direction of a physician, while adhering to strict radiation safety standards. This position requires versatility and the ability to work across multiple clinical areas, including pediatrics, operating room, portable imaging, fluoroscopy, emergency department, and outpatient services. You will play a critical role in delivering safe, timely, and patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Required)
- Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT or equivalent) (Required)
- Registered Technologist for Radiography Required
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year of clinical radiology experience (Preferred)
- 1 Year Clinical - Radiology Preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures and produce high-quality radiographs
- Monitor patient safety, comfort, and condition during procedures
- Prepare patients by reviewing physician orders and explaining procedures
- Position patients and equipment accurately to achieve optimal imaging results
- Adjust and maintain imaging equipment; perform routine checks and report issues
- Accurately document diagnostic data in electronic medical records
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to support diagnostic outcomes
- Prioritize workflow and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced environment
