About The Position

This PRN (As Needed) Radiology Technologist position involves assisting physicians and the charge Registered Nurse with basic patient care, operating radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images (x-rays and CT scans), and adhering to all privacy and security protocols. The role requires a commitment to patient care, data protection, and upholding the company's mission and values.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Applied Science or equivalent with diploma/certification from an accredited school of Radiology Technologist.
  • At least Two (2) years of experience as a Radiology Technologist in a hospital or emergency room setting.
  • ARRT Certification required.
  • CPR/BLS Certification required.
  • Current license from the Texas Department of State Health Service for Radiology Technologist required.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Knowledge of the current trends and techniques of x-ray technology.
  • Ability to learn to conduct quality control studies.
  • Ability to learn to use computerized radiologic equipment.
  • Ability to learn to operate a computer for recordkeeping purposes.
  • Basic Computer knowledge.
  • Prolonged periods standing, reaching, and bending.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Physical strength and agility to position patients for a variety of diagnostic examinations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides supportive care to patients under the direction of the registered nurse in charge and/or physician.
  • Performs patient skill sets such as taking height and weight measurements, vital signs, IV initiations, blood draws, and documenting as needed to assist the nurse and physician with patient care.
  • Performs diagnostic testing using x-ray and/or computer tomography (CT scan) equipment in accordance with protocol upon physicians’ orders.
  • Produces quality images and uploads them for radiology reads/interpretations.
  • Applies proper techniques and practices while performing diagnostic testing using radiology equipment and lab procedures.
  • Reports lab and radiology results immediately to the registered nurse and/or physician.
  • Assists registered nurse and physicians with assessments, examinations, and treatment.
  • Performs other duties such as crutch walking, dressing changes, and assisting physicians with splint or cast application.
  • Complies with all privacy and security laws and internal policies and procedures.
  • Plays an active role in protecting the company's sensitive data and ensuring patient information is treated with care and confidence.
  • Reports any concerns or infractions related to privacy and security.
  • Protects credentials provided to access Company networks, systems, and data.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all Ally and customer data.
  • Reports any suspected compromises of Ally proprietary data or customer data to Management immediately.
  • Adheres to the Company’s Information Security Policy and Procedures and supports standard operating procedures to protect Company systems and data.
  • Alerts management immediately with any expected system or data compromises and/or system failure impacting the security, confidentiality, availability, and integrity of Ally Medical and customer data.
  • Attends annual Information Security Awareness Training.
