About The Position

Sentara BelleHarbour in Suffolk, VA, is currently hiring a Radiology Technologist for a full time, evening/2nd shift. This role conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician. This includes positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory. The technologist will explain the examination and procedure to the patient and complete departmental documentation. The Advanced Imaging Center at BelleHarbour is home to a 3T MRI, CT, PET CT, full digital mammography, ultrasound, bone densitometry, PVL (vascular imaging services), non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing, and digital X-ray. Physicians and patients also benefit from the expertise of our sub-specialized radiologists who ensure accurate results from the high quality images. Our sub-specialties include women’s imaging, musculoskeletal (MSK), body and neuroradiology. Requirements

  • Trade School Graduate - Radiologic Technology (Required)
  • ARRT (R) (Required at time of hire)
  • BLS

Responsibilities
