The Radiology Technologist will produce radiographs of various anatomical parts and systems for diagnostic purposes as directed by the radiologist. This role involves collecting pertinent patient data, verifying physician orders, and providing clear explanations of procedures to patients. The technologist will analyze information to determine optimal imaging parameters, select appropriate shielding, and administer contrast agents if applicable. They will operate and adjust radiographic equipment, position patients, and utilize CR equipment to ensure maximum image quality. Images are sent to PACS for interpretation and archived as needed. Documentation of patient care, exam details, and history is crucial, along with coordinating with other departments for timely procedures. Maintaining equipment and workstations, implementing downtime procedures, and demonstrating cognitive ability for concentration and accuracy are also key aspects of this position.
