About The Position

Performs radiology procedures as ordered by physicians and providers. Uses equipment in compliance with all safety requirements. Complies with all HIPAA and OSHA requirements. Reports any patient complaints or concerns to the Clinical Supervisor. Establishes and maintains effective communication with physicians, employees, and other departments. Responds to patient questions as required to resolve issues and maintain high patient satisfaction levels. Maintains patient confidentiality. Attends required department staff meetings. The job holder must demonstrate current competencies for the job position.

Requirements

  • Certificate and/or Associates Degree in Radiology Technology
  • Current ARRT certification
  • One – two-year experience as a Radiology Technologist in a hospital or clinic environment.
  • Current state and ARRT certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Knowledge of radiology exam policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of operating a PC and applicable computer software.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements within the department.
  • Skill in production of radiology exams.
  • Skill in obtaining patient information via the computer.
  • Skill in maintaining professional relationships with patients, family members, and the public.
  • Ability to effectively care for patients.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to patients, family members, and staff.
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with providers.
  • OSHA Requirements and training to include: Safety Training.
