The Radiology Technologist supports outpatient vascular and interventional radiology procedures in an office-based lab setting. Responsibilities include patient preparation, fluoroscopic and radiographic image acquisition, procedural imaging support, radiation safety, sterile workflow support, documentation, room turnover, and collaboration with physicians and nursing staff to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality patient care. In a vascular/interventional OBL, the technologist’s role is more procedure-centered than in many traditional imaging departments. The practice setting is designed for outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic interventions and often supports longitudinal patient care, convenience, and efficient ambulatory throughput rather than episodic hospital-based workflow. This makes procedural coordination, rapid room turnover, sterile technique awareness, and close collaboration with physicians especially important.
