Under the direction of the Radiology Director and Manager, this role produces quality diagnostic medical radiographs, including OR, Flouro, Dexa, or EOS, to ensure proper diagnosis and quality patient care. The technologist demonstrates the skills to produce quality radiographs by using appropriate exposure techniques, documenting patient history, performing OR/Surgery cases using C-arms and portable machines, and supervising/teaching Radiology students. They observe established departmental policies, safety, environmental, and infection control standards, and attend departmental in-services and meetings. This role also performs other duties as appropriate and needed by supervisors, practices according to safety and infection control policies, participates in continuing education, provides service excellence, and incorporates Quality Improvement into daily work. Additionally, the technologist uses the Hospital/Radiology Information system according to policy and provides age-appropriate care.
