About The Position

The Radiology Technologist performs imaging examinations according to physicians' orders, using a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment and considering patients' individual and age-related needs. The role uses clinical knowledge and judgment to determine proper positioning, radiation-dose calibration and technique, and patient treatment needed to produce high-quality images. Examinations are performed with minimal radiation exposure to patients and operators, in accordance with ALARA awareness.

This is a part-time, variable-shift position at Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, Oregon. A $4,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible external candidates who meet all payment conditions. Requirements

• Education sufficient to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
• Upon hire, an Oregon Radiographer License; new graduates must obtain a permanent license within six months of hire, or hold an Oregon Radiographer Temporary License and obtain a permanent license within six months of hire.
• Within six months (180 days) of hire, national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Upon hire, National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging examinations according to physicians' orders using a variety of imaging equipment.
• Consider patients' individual and age-related needs when conducting examinations.
• Apply clinical knowledge and judgment to determine proper positioning, radiation-dose calibration and technique, and patient treatment to produce high-quality images.
• Perform examinations with minimal radiation exposure to patients and operators, following ALARA awareness.
