About The Position
Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures. Performs a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated body portions and produces diagnostically acceptable films for radiologist interpretation. Documents patient history prepares documentation of all procedures/reports completed and reports this to the radiologist. Maintains courtesy, professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, staff and physicians.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- BCLS required
- Working knowledge of anatomy and principles of physics, electricity and variations of anatomical postures
