Radiology Technologist - Atrium Health Salisbury Urgent Care FT
About The Position
Performs radiologic exams as ordered by a physician. This role involves checking requisitions for physician notes and/or special instructions, consulting with a Radiologist or physician as necessary, and selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis. The technologist will operate equipment as directed by the demands of individual exams and assist in maintaining adequate patient records. Additionally, the role includes obtaining specimens and performing certain diagnostic laboratory tests as ordered by a physician, and preparing specimens for transport to the Medical Center or State Lab for procedures not performed at the specific facility.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program required.
- Current registry with ARRT or ability to obtain registry within 6 months of hire date required.
- BLS required per policy guidelines.
- Must maintain current certification.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year experience preferred.
