About The Position

The Radiology Technologist Care Guide is responsible for patient registration, collecting payments, rooming, assisting the provider with care and treatment, preparing patients for radiologic procedures, performing x-rays, discharging, and following up with patients. It is the role of the Care Guide to companion patients and their secondary guests through the entire experience to maximize clinical excellence, reduce treatment times, and maximize the patient experience; before, during, and after the patient visit. The Care Guide is responsible for assisting the provider with front office and back office duties in the outpatient management of patients on a rotating basis. This position is a vital part of the office team that cares for patients in the clinic setting, working closely with the provider and other clinical staff. Acting as the patient advocate, the Care Guide has continuous contact with providers, patients, patient families' significant others, community agencies, and patient care staff and management. This position requires floating to various facilities.

Requirements

  • Completion of a formal Radiography program with associated certificate or degree (for Fully Licensed Rad Tech)
  • Licensed with IEMA (for Fully Licensed Rad Tech)
  • American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) completed within 2 weeks of hire (for Fully Licensed Rad Tech)
  • ARRt (R) registry eligible (for Fully Licensed Rad Tech)
  • Must complete ARRT registry within 6 months of hire (for Fully Licensed Rad Tech)
  • May be required to float between clinics as needed (for Fully Licensed Rad Tech)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (for Fully Licensed Rad Tech)
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software (for Fully Licensed Rad Tech)
  • High School Diploma/ GED (for Limited License Rad Tech)
  • 1 year healthcare experience (for Limited License Rad Tech)
  • Limited scope testing certification provided by ARRT (for Limited License Rad Tech)
  • American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) (for Limited License Rad Tech)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (for Limited License Rad Tech)
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software (for Limited License Rad Tech)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented (for Limited License Rad Tech)
  • May be required to float between clinics as needed (for Limited License Rad Tech)
