About The Position

Sentara Port Warwick in Newport News, VA, is currently hiring a Radiology Technologist to work a full time, weekend day shift. 20K Sign On Bonus Available for Qualified Candidates! Hours Full Time, Weekend Day Shift, 36 hours per week. Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation.

Requirements

• Trade School Graduate - Radiologic Technology (Required)
• ARRT (Required)
• BLS

Responsibilities

• Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician
• Positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology
• Operation of radiation producing equipment
• Operation of the electronic radiology systems
• Preparation of patient room/equipment/medications
