About The Position

Shriners Children’s is seeking a Full-time Radiology Technologist to join their Portland, OR team. Radiologic technologists are medical personnel who perform imaging procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of patients in a professional manner. This is a high-volume, fast-paced pediatric orthopedic hospital committed to providing the highest standard of care to children and their families. The role involves communicating effectively with patients, families, and staff, maintaining a high standard of safety, compliance, and patient satisfaction, and correctly positioning patients to ensure quality radiographic images. The technologist will work closely with radiologists and physicians, demonstrate professional communication with peers and supervisors, and maintain a plan for personal growth and self-development. This is not an all-inclusive list of responsibilities; incumbents may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
  • Oregon state license (OBMI)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year experience in pediatric/orthopedic radiology

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff in a fast-paced setting
  • Maintain a high standard of safety, compliance, and patient satisfaction
  • Responsible for a correctively positioning patients and ensuring that a quality radiographic image is produced
  • Works closely with radiologists and physicians who interpret images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury
  • Demonstrates professional role requirements related to communication with peers and supervisor and flexibility during unexpected work related events
  • Maintains on going- plan for personal growth and self-development
